Allocating public goods funding recevied via Octant

I love the idea of using EAS, although we need to create a schema, likely just for BanklessDAO.
More discovery needs to be done for us to get clear on the usecase.

maybe we could use some other measure until discourse infrastructure is up

something like - to be able to vote, your discourse account has to be 30 days old, and have xy posts/comments/likes or similar

this doesnt answer my question, but i will forego the question for now.

i get the point behind the idea, and the reasoning why you’re doing this, and that’s fine.

but there needs to be a bit more vetting behind this entire process to solidify the application, the groups, and the budget.

also, there should be an option to vote for none, or add your vote in the comments, or anything that gives a member a chance to express their opinions.

also, arent IMN, Nacion Bankless, and Global Events somehwat tied together?

and this is a small issue, but i’m becoming more concerned with the amount of profiles and proposals that have picture-less profiles. Not always an issue, but i’m not fully convinced that there arent sybils in this process.

essentially, this needs to be vetted more before using this as canon.

True, I think the same, it is very interesting what Octant is doing, but at the moment of voting I feel that you could do it with ā€œseveral restrictionsā€ because that way anyone could vote and what we are looking for is that more people vote, but also interested people, and it would be nice to make a ā€œfilterā€ about the people who should vote as having tlBANK or something like that.

Can you clarify this for me?

Yup. One of my favorite dreams about bDAO it’s someday we would be so sustainable that we won’t have any inflation in the BANK token because it’s needed to continue the driving process of coordination

This is an issue that we have been discussing regarding this vote in the gov dept.
@Icedcool has noticed several sybil attempts already.

yeah, but they are separate projects with independent deliveriables

This is the best we could come up with given the time constrains. You are welcome to join the weekly gov syncs to give more real time input on how such decisions should be handled.

I understand, unfortunately due to my irl work constraints this is the best I can do for now.

Transcends the price you mean?

Sure! Use it like a vote and not for only pay the bills =)

so funny story right,

i was under the impression that this was the way to do this (so i at first was under the impression that tlBANK was a separate tool to liquid bank) but its instead just a locked up version.

its pretty clear how upset i am about the GroDAO situation if you look at my twitter, but it seems like the lock up for bank would benefit a mechanism like the gro rewards vesting contract (minus the rewards because that was a hot mess)

but yeah, i think perhaps @Jengajojo efforts towards these grants will eventually help towards this goal.

Thanks to the people that believe that our projects should be funded and supported.
We are still in flight and it’s and honor to be part of this.
