Suggest a Live How To & Knowledge Session
Suggest an education course you feel would be important for DAO Members. Sessions should help DAO Members to understand their role in the DAO and the tools used to facilitate collaboration.
Leave comments on the forum post if you have suggestions, questions, or additional comments.
Kudos to the education department of bDAO. You’ve really helped me find my way around the DAO. I hope folks attend these how to and knowledge sessions.
Thank you for this survey Edu Dept! I would suggest investigating self running courses via Bankless Academy or other tools which do not need separate organisation and facilitating for the same thing each time. Also a some sort of onchain credential would be helpful.
so you may notice that you can complete courses through the academy without actually having to read the content. There is no validation in the courses that anything was actually learned or that students can apply the skills learned in the sessions. Self Administered online courses are good for only a very narrow band of learners. We focus on live education from the learner perspective and try to design courses to meet the needs of various different types of learners.
Are courses also facilitate the need of learners that are interested in also learning how to teach. Folks that teach courses generally attend them multiple times This in person talent development for teachers and students is something that Academy Courses and Google Quizes cannot offer.
We will be adopting Thrivecoin for online validation of many of our activities within the department for students and teachers.
We will also be opening up our courses to folks outside of the bdao discord using Ed3 DAOs metaverse and next season the Live Sessions will become Lens NFTs that students can collect in order to build their library of educational resources.
The Lens NFT stuff sounds cool. Looking forward to it.
A follow up question, if you claim that there is no way to validate if someone has actually learned something via academy or pre recorded courses, how can we validate this with live sessions? I understand that thrive can be dropped based on session activity but that does not give us any signal on whether someone has actually learnt something?
Being new here and answering these questions help me know what I need to work on to become productive when o feel like I’m stuck I can just fall back here and research the next question thanks
Thank you everyone who has provided their feedback so far! We’re hoping to get a few more data points before doing our analysis before we close the polls on March 22, so please encourage others to leave their thoughts here as well.
