Reason for applying
With a deep understanding of DeFi and involvement in Bankless since the first newsletter, I’m in a unique position to represent the interests of the Dao from a familiarity standpoint. I believe this perspective is going to be vital in the grants committee, and that I will steward Dao funds in a transparent and honorable manner at all times.

Describe your involvement in the DAO thus far
I’ve thrown myself wholeheartedly into support and operations facilitation since the first hours of the Dao, and Double down on cultural inspiration to create an environment with positive feedback loops everywhere, incorporating permaculture and holocracy principles to the development of the system

Qualifications - What will you bring to the committee?
The only qualification of note in my toolbelt is that I’m an eagle scout, and have formal leadership training, which I bring to bear whenever the opportunity arises. I operate based on the twelve points of the scout law, and think these qualities will be key in funding wisely. The twelve points are:
trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.

How many hours can you commit to the DAO per week?
Currently 60-72+ Once some things are automated, only 50 may be needed. I will not count the hours as much as I make sure the job’s done.

Grendel#3875

Reason for applying
There are several reasons that convinced me to submit this application. First of all, it is to give a service to BanklessDAO and support its growth. Then, I think that my business experience in estimating the best opportunities in which to commit the available resources can be useful in carrying out this task.

Describe your involvement thus far at BanklessDAO
I try to be useful in the areas in which I have experience. As a result, I joined the work of several Guilds and participate in the work of some projects of the DAO, always conceived as team work and never as private initiatives.

Qualifications - What will you bring to the committee?
I have held various roles during my working life. I am currently CEO and owner of some companies and the management of financial flows as well as the decision on how and where to allocate investments are essential to guarantee the correct growth of the business and to allow everyone to work and live at their best in a healthy and balanced environment.

How many hours can you commit to the DAO per week?
I am a strong believer in quality over quantity. Nonetheless, the passion I have for crypto and BanklessDAO leads me to be (happily) often present in the DAO, for a large part of both my working and free time.
In addition, respecting deadlines and commitments are for me first of all a form of respect towards the people with whom I am lucky enough to work and towards the work itself.
Consequently, I believe I can ensure an adequate commitment to this task as to all those I am happy to carry out.

Reason for applying

As a Bankless LLC employee and member of the Genesis Squad, we have a vested interest in the success of the DAO. Effectively allocating capital is one of the most important things we can do and is a crucial piece of our success. As such, I would love to be apart of the committee to act as a representative and ensure that we’re properly thinking through all the nuances.

Describe your involvement thus far at BanklessDAO

Mostly working on broader operations and the treasury guild. I’ve been fairly active in the overall management of the DAO and some of the underlying projects that we’re working on (BED Index, POAP Engagement, etc.).

Qualifications - What will you bring to the committee?

I have extensive experience working in the crypto and DeFi industry over the past few years. I currently manage the primary Bankless newsletter and am an active governance participant in other protocols via :fire: _ :fire: where we’ve worked on governance and help setup similar committees for Aave, Balancer, Gitcoin, and others.

How many hours can you commit to the DAO per week?

~15-20 hours outside of my work with the LLC ( which ties in with the DAO as a media node) .

Reason for applying

  • This may not seem like a satisfying reason, but it is the main reason I’m applying: when I learned about the Grants Committee and the opportunity to join, my reaction was “hell yeah!”
    • I’ve learned Hell Yeah’s can be rare in life, and when they come, just go. So I’m just going and applying.
  • For context behind the hell yeah, at core, I think it’s because 1) I feel strongly aligned with the vision of the DAO to educate the masses on crypto. And 2) because I find (effective) decentralized coordination fascinating. In short, I’m stoked to join this experiment and add value to it. I think I can do so here on the grants committee.

Describe your involvement thus far at BanklessDAO

  • Thought through and gave feedback on the Season 1 Proposal spec
  • Collaborated some with DAO members focused on building out local Bankless communities (e.g., Africa)
  • Participated in DAO call-to-actions, e.g., (Snapshot voting, Coordinape distributions, etc.)
  • Spreading the BanklessDAO word

Qualifications - What will you bring to the committee?

The two most relevant qualifications I bring are: Grants Experience & Ecosystem Knowledge.

  • On Grants, I’ve built, run, and managed grant programs at the Ethereum Foundation. Which means, I have a keen understanding of the end-to-end process of administering grants generally: grantee management, ops, evaluations, decision-making, among other pieces.
  • On Ecosystem Knowledge, I’m deeply involved in the Ethereum ecosystem as an active and engaged community member. As such, I bring a broad perspective of the various issues facing the space that I think will be of value to the committee.

Reason for applying

In seeing the low volume of applications, I feel a sense of duty to join this initiative and make it succeed for the good of the DAO. I feel strongly aligned with the DAOs purpose & vision and hope that I can bring that to life through this assignment.

Describe your involvement thus far at BanklessDAO

So far, I’ve been helping shape the Developers Guild by representing in community calls, organizing weekly meetings, and helping wherever I have bandwidth. I’ve also been involved with scoping the Onboard product, advising the Discord bot, ideating scope squads, and looking forward to mentoring in the upcoming Education Guild program.

Qualifications - What will you bring to the committee?

Organizing the dev guild and working on a variety of projects in the DAO since its inception lends me a well rounded perspective to the goals & direction of the community. I think I can represent that perspective well while blending my own sense of vision.

In my career as a dev & product manager, I’ve always had to prioritize & budget time, talent, and scope. I expect those years of work (and managing kids at home) gives me the relevant experience for this role.

How many hours can you commit to the DAO per week?

20 hours per week, mostly evenings.

To support the DAO’s operations, and as a representative of the #dev-guild. I am also excited to be a part of allocating capital to enable the success of different projects and the DAO!

Describe your involvement thus far at BanklessDAO
I am heavily involved in the #dev-guild and a huge cheerleader of the #analytics-guild. I also kicked off the Bounty Board project, and have been facilitating it’s progress. Lastly I am a part of the operations guild, and am focused on supporting the DAO in it’s mission, technologically and any way I can.

My overall aims are to support DAO operations, drive opportunities and $BANK valuation that allow members to work for the DAO.

Qualifications - What will you bring to the committee?
I aim to bring a balanced and as unbiased an opinion as possible, with an intent to support the DAO’s success in all endeavors, with a focus on tech, economics, and equity.

My non-DAO job is managing a team serving technology needs of multiple hospitals on the east coast, and in the past I have started 3 different companies(some successful, some not). I am also trained in interpersonal facilitation and mediation, and have an academic degree and tech certs.

Lastly, I am heavily involved in and love defi.

How many hours can you commit to the DAO per week?
15-20 hrs… (More if I can! )
Depending on project needs, I can allocate more, and working to balance this with life and the like.

Reason for applying
I would like to help the DAO coordinate and distribute funds in a direction as to further improve this wonderful organization of ours. I’ve tried to be helpful where I feel my experiences are helpful and I do think this would be one of the areas I can bring previous experience in capital allocation and organization to the DAO. When I saw the position open up my plan was to wait a while to get more familiar with the DAO and have the opportunity to prove myself further, however after discussions and noting the low number of applicants I have decided to offer my services.

Describe your involvement thus far at BanklessDAO
During my somewhat short time here with you all, apart from reading as much as possible of the previously great work done. I’ve been focusing on a few areas, I have worked on the S1 structure for the Translation guild with Grendel and started to outline his great Translation Service proposal with the squad. I’ve worked with Kouros to expand on his work in the DAO Budget area, we’re trying to capture the process and best practices for cost follow-up in the DAO. In the Treasury Guild, we’re also starting to look on membership forms and the possibility to add a tier between Guest Pass and Full Members. So my work has mainly been focused on the Translations and Treasury Guilds.

Qualifications - What will you bring to the committee?
I hold a one year master (Civilekonom for the Swedish crowd) in Finance and Project Management, with focus on Risk Management. I’ve worked 8+ years within finance in different roles from Controller, Head of Group Accounts to CFO. Currently I’m a Business Controller at a Swedish company. These experiences have given me insight in the kind of work the committee will be doing and the importance for these functions to always serve their stakeholders and build lasting relationships within the organization. I’m used to allocate funds to projects showing great potential and tracking their progress. For me the most important thing is that we all work together to ensure we create the DAO environment we thrive in and secure the longevity of the DAO.

How many hours can you commit to the DAO per week?
That will vary with both DAO and real life workflows, so far I have put 30+ hours into the DAO activities per week since I joined, I will ensure any task I take on is completed as communicated. I believe I can provide adequate commitment to ensure quality work.

Reason for applying
I was asked to apply, and I see a benefit to the DAO in doing so. I want to represent the teams on the ground working to build BanklessDAO up to its fullest potential. As a member of multiple guilds—the Writers Guild, Developers Guild, and Sovereign Health—I work to bring to fruition the projects that I feel will serve the DAO in its mission and vision. This includes working in projects that will affect the reputation of the DAO, ie the Editing Framework; as well as projects that will serve the DAO in terms of better interoperability and administration, ie DEGEN, the Bankless Bot. My only true recourse is my desire to serve. I feel I have gained much from the DAO, and as highly as I value my time and energy, I want to put my time and energy to use where I think it will be the most useful.

Describe your involvement thus far at BanklessDAO
As stated above, I have my hand in a few projects that are focused on unifying the voice and activity of the DAO. The Editing Framework for the Writers Guild will allow for a unified voice across public-facing documents, articles, and blogs. DEGEN, the Bankless Bot, will work to simplify and automate administrative and business-oriented functions of the DAO, allowing DAO members to spend their time where it matters most.

Qualifications - What will you bring to the committee?
I will bring my critical thinking skills to the committee. I will bring my experience in working in multiple guilds to the committee.
How many hours can you commit to the DAO per week?
I currently commit over 20 hours a week to DAO-related projects. I can contribute an additional 10 hours a week for this committee.

Reason for applying
I’m looking for a smaller commitment to get myself regularly involved in the DAO, and the responsibilities of a committee member seem to be a good fit for myself and my skillset.
I’m interested in a position that connects myself with the more general pulse of the community, where a smaller time contribution can go a longer way.

Describe your involvement thus far at BanklessDAO
I am mostly present conversationally, as lately I haven’t had the large chunks of time I would want to have to be involved in the more artistic projects I could offer the DAO - which will have to wait for my new life/work schedule to settle in.
Typically I’m involved in the Community calls, where I enjoy discussing the more general direction of the DAO, and the Design Guild calls, where I’m able to offer some more specialised discussion due to my digital artistry background.

Qualifications - What will you bring to the committee?
An artistic eye and critical mind for design projects specifically, and a paradigm representation of these attributes in the grant requests that do not fall under my specialities.

How many hours can you commit to the DAO per week?
Outside of calls, I can offer ~3-4h for applications and discussion, mostly on weekends. I can check in during the week. This will increase over the season.
