SUMMARY OF ACTIVITIES IN SEASON 2

Season 2 allowed for the Ops Guild to really find our feet. We’ve identified our scope of responsibilities to include:

  • Coordinape round admin
  • Community Calls
  • Seasonal Planning
  • Notion admin
  • Discord admin
  • Community management
  • Cartography

We’ve expanded our core group to include a number of new members that have taken on responsibilities within each individual workstream.

SEASON 3 PLANS AND GOALS

In Season 3, we plan on operating behind the scenes. Our goals are:

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS

  • Sobol Subscription: 33,000 BANK
  • Roles: Ops Guild Coordinator = 75,000 BANK
    • Discretion Apprentice Bounty Pool = 15,000 BANK

For Season 3, we will have only one role, as our Guild is still evolving. The coordinator role (frog) will have a discretionary bounty pool to bounty out tasks to Ops Guild members in hopes of training and transitioning to another Ops Guild coordinator in Season 4.

  • Note Taking: 8,000 BANK
  • Bounties: 50,000 BANK
  • Workstreams (854,000 BANK):

Our workstreams have two outliers: Notion and Cartographer.
The Notion workstream include 65,000 BANK for administration and another 169,000 as per the Decentralization of Notion Permissions Proposal, which puts some notion administrative burden on Guilds. In Season 4, guilds will need to account for the additional Notion administration work.
Cartography is one of the larger projects within the DAO. In Season 3, we will ramp up the accuracy of our DAO Map and have a group to maintain this excellent resource.

Is the DAO cartographer compensation within the purview of the ops team or the guilds/projects?

That’s a good question. It originally began within Ops as a way to map activity in the DAO, but given its increased scope, it may merit being spun out. I think depending on the success of implementation in S3, we’ll have a better sense of where this falls in the larger ecosystem.

Ah, I see the confusion here!

We don’t have a guild-wide coordinape. The Coordinape workstream you’re seeing is for setting up the monthly coordinape rounds for the DAO, not a separate Ops Guild coordinape.

However, we do have “micro rounds” within some of our workstreams. So the Notion, Discord, Community Call, and Coordinape teams will have their own unique Coordinape rounds with 10K BANK at the end of the season.

In short, Ops Guild has 40K for internal Coordinape rounds. The other 50K is for administering DAO-wide coordinape rounds.
