According to the Season 1 spec, there will be three seats open for Season 2 Grants Committee.
The Grants Committee consists of 5-7 members along with a multisig with all committee members as signers.
The Committee is responsible and accountable for managing the grants system, reviewing grant applications, and managing the grants treasury, with the help of other guilds as needed (e.g., treasury).
The Committee has a quorum with four members over seven OR three members over five, but is otherwise responsible for their own operations.
The Committee cannot change the application process to be a Committee member without a snapshot vote and is encouraged to accept the DAO’s proposal template.
The Grants Committee is required to be transparent and communicative with the DAO, such as access to Committee meetings and an opportunity to voice opinions and feedback.
The voting period will last one week and will take place on Discourse:
Any candidate who receives more than 30 votes and more than 66% approval goes to an instant vote for a final decision by the DAO.
If one DAO member qualifies for a snapshot it is a hire or do not hire vote that requires 66% + approval to pass. If there is more than one candidate there is a runoff in discourse managed by the operations guild where the candidate that receives more votes moves on to a snapshot vote.
The entire committee will be submitted to the Snapshot vote.
Any unapproved candidate can gather feedback, improve their resume, and resubmit for future vacancies.
Committee members can be recalled with an instant vote of 51% or more. Committee members may leave the Committee at any time by submitting a written resignation note to the Committee.

Reason for applying: I would really like to get more involved and contribute more to this DAO.
Qualifications: Active angel investor, and worked with several angel “groups” collabing and investing together.
Sponsor(s) (i.e., someone who will second your nomination): None at this point. I’m super new to becoming more active in this group, so I understand this may be a super long shot, but just throwing my hat in the ring.
I have contributed from the very beginning to the DAO, as a coordinator of the Legal Guild. I have applied with success for grants on behalf of the DAO (Perpetual; Balancer). The DAO became my passion and I would like to give my contribution in assessing the projects that should be funded. In the academy, I have been often in the position of evaluating persons or research projects. Therefore, I think that I would be a reliable member of the GC.
Qualifications
Law Professor with a focus on digital law, blockchain and cryptocurrencies; coordinator of the Legal Guild, Member of LexDAO and Lex_punK Army DAO.
I highly endorse eagle as an applicant for GC. He is thoughtful, responsible, and continues to deliver for the bDAO. I feel fully confident with his opinions, discretion and influence in the Grants Committee, our growing community would be capable hands.
Reason for applying:
Desire to go BANKLESS and be an established, contributing member of this DAO.

Here is my professional CV- Nicholas MISCHEL | Professor (Assistant) | Doctor of Medicine and Philosophy - Physiology | Wayne State University, Michigan | WSU | Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences
I have about a decade of experience writing, editing, reviewing, and scoring grant applications for biomedical and behavioral research. Currently, I’m an assistant professor at a medical school in Detroit. My research is focused on the utilization of ECG, EMG, EEG, and other physiologic data streams to determine the utility and efficacy of brain stimulation treatments for depression and other psychiatric conditions. I’m hoping one day to use web3 to harness the value of health data that can be obtained via sensors in a smartphone.

Saw the link within the Bankless Rollup and immediately went to apply. Have been enjoying the Bankless experiment for quite some time now and I think I can add value in this particular workgroup.
Reason for applying
Open Source grants are something I am passionate about in general, I think Gitcoin Grants is really showing the world that open source software CAN be funded. Seeing this trend continue within DAOs is just awesome. If I can participate and help further these kind of initiatives, then I am more than happy to do so.
Qualifications
Been working within crypto since 2016.
I am currently the Grant Lead at the Balancer Grants DAO.
Within the Index Coop I am the ambassador towards Kyber. Kyber Network Ambassador intro & update - Organization - The Index Coop
At Cyber Capital I am a fundamental analyst consultant and have been responsible for setting up their research department when I was their Head of Research.
I combine skills of understanding the crypto space, being structured and knowing how to work with DAOs and crypto projects. Plus I got a large network to help out grantees with.
Would love to leverage these skills and this network to further the Bankless experiment.

LuukDAO (Balancer & PrimeDAO) and Tongnk (Balancer & Perp) can vouch for me. As would Justin Bons (founder of Cyber Capital).
2. Reason for applying
I am long on going bankless, my assets are currently 90%+ in crypto and using a combination of tools, I am currently about 90% bankless, when it comes to day-to-day IRL transactions. I am passionate about seeing this mission spread and I would love to contribute my experience towards this as much as possible - I have the time and resources to do so. Moreover, I can see the nexus of active participants of this DAO is currently in the US, and I believe it is healthy for both decision-making and outlook to diversify somewhat (I am Singapore-based). I have been active in the local Bankless chapter here and am independently sponsored by four Bankless SG members, below.
3. Qualifications
I have been in crypto since 2014. I became a full-time builder and investor earlier this year. I am currently active in several DAOs and I have made a few highly profitable bets when it comes to allocating my money and time. Outside of crypto I have previously been on the management team of an international tech startup through to post Series A, and I believe evaluating how to spend money effectively as well as evaluating people, in the context of building and scaling high-growth tech-enabled stuff, is my forte.
